Gavin Lee sure was a sweetie during his newborn session last weekend at my daylight studio down in Sodo. Between Mom, Dad, Auntie and myself, there sure was a lot of oohing and awing!
Wow, what a journey it's been with this beautiful family! It all started when I photographed Erica and Trevor on their wedding day. Now here we are two kids later for Cash's newborn photos at their lovely home in Madison Park. Such a fun session!
I've been photographing the Allen's since little miss Evelyn was still in her mamma's tummy. Fast forward a couple years and the Allen's are pregnant with baby number two! We decided that for this shoot we'd do something a little different and photograph them at their beautiful home in Ballard, Seattle. Over the course of three hours, we were able to catch up, make fresh mojitos and just enjoy each other's company while I simultaneously photographed them. I love how different these photos are from my other work. Thanks for having me over Jeremy, Rachael and Evelyn! I had so much fun with your soon to be family of four!
This is was a special shoot for me in that I had the chance to not only photograph sweet Kaylee Mae during her first days of life in this world but also because I had the opportunity to reconnect with some friends in the process. I knew Zack in high school and got to know Kristine through him when they started dating. I was there on their wedding day and now years later had the opportunity to meet their two beautiful kids, Johnny and Kaylee. It was an honor getting such an intimate peek into their relationship with one another and their kids. They have grown up to be amazing people and wonderful parents.
A couple of weeks ago I had the absolute pleasure of photographing the happiest baby I've ever known, Ella Rose. My photography journey with Ella and her parents, Kelsey and Mike, began when I photographed them for their maternity session. I met Ella shortly after when she was only a few days old. Already smiling constantly during her newborn session, six months later, she has only grown more joyful. She has completely stolen my heart as I'm sure she will yours as well. Check out these photos and see for yourself. <3
Happy Mother's Day to all of the wonderful mammas out there but most especially mine! I thought I'd kick off my first blog post with some photos to honor my beautiful mom, taken on our girls trip in Kentucky a couple weeks ago. Mom, I love you so very much. Your selfless and genuine love for all those around you, especially your family is such an incredible inspiration and gift. I hope to be half the mommy you are some day.
